Pharmaceuticals Department:

Our Pharmaceutical division has a very good business relationship with the government sectors (The Federal Ministry of Health - FMOH - Central Medical Supply – CMS), the private sector and retail pharmacies. More than 85% of present business turnover is from the private sector.

We have a number of overseas manufacturers through which we arrange medicine supplies for the local market: We are expecting a tremendous improvement of business volumes from the private sector, due to the new dimension in the Sudanese market as a result of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) signed in the beginning of 2005 between the Sudanese Government and the South and resulted in a coalition Government ruling the country at present.

Medical Equipment Department:

The core of our company activities is the Medical Equipment department. Supported by world renowned medical establishments and our strong engineering personnel, SMES serves the market with high-technolical diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.

Engineering Department:

SMES high-end after sales & support department staffed by a team of multi-national highly educated, professionally trained and experienced staff, whom have the capability to provide around the clock technical support and services for a wide variety of machines, equipment and apparatus.

The Head of our Engineering Department is Eng. Arturo Lunzaga, a Biomedical Engineer with many years of experience and knowledge in a wide range of medical equipment.

The engineering department provides Pre-sales consultations and client orientation to our service and maintenance programs for increased customer awareness and confidence.The department also operates its own Storage Facility for fast moving spare parts, start-up &shutdown kits, general consumables as per equipment population. This is regularly updated to cover a comprehensive range of the client’s equipments we support. The after sales & support dept. handles both local and national routine service and maintenance tasks, categorized by priority, region and equipment type.
